Tones on Tuesday #31 4.24.12 and 5.1.12

Due to a series of events I am reopening last week's Tones on Tuesday for one more week. So please link up another photo and I will do 6 showcases next week. I can't wait to see what you have been shooting!

Another busy week has begun so this will be short and sweet. Thank you for visiting, thank you for linking up and thank you for sharing your talent and inspiration! Here are the showcases from the beautiful photos that were linked up last week...

Ruthie from Ruthie Photography
I am not a big fan of blueberries, but this photo looks delicious! The color is exquisite and the detail is amazing. The depth of field and perspective complete this stunning photograph. Thank you for sharing Ruthie!

Maboe from Maboe
I love how soft and dreamy this photo is! The color, the depth of field and the texture work together to create a lovely, ethereal feel. Thank you for linking up Maboe!

Kristy from Life-n-Reflection
The vintage feel of this photo collage is lovely. What a wonderful collection, great processing and a quaint story. Thank you for sharing Kristy!

Ruthie, Maboe and Kristy please go HERE to grab your showcase button.

Now it's your turn to share your photo with altered tones. Here are the guidelines for Tones on Tuesday:
  • The basic idea is to share one photo where you have altered the tones. Such as a black and white, sepia toned, selective coloring or colored photo. Feel free to share the original and edit, or just the edit.
  • Please share a photo that you have taken and edited yourself.
  • One photo per photographer please. If you have more than one photo in your post please indicate which one if for Tones on Tuesday.
  • Please link up with your permalink and not your blog address.
  • Attach the Tones on Tuesday button or a link back here to your post
  • Leave comments for at least 3 other participants, share the love :o)!
  • Have fun!
Disclaimer - By participating you give Scattered Horizons permission to share your photo on this blog. Photographers will be given credit for their work.

My photo for this week of a rapidly deteriorating Spring. A few weeks ago the flowers had begun to bloom and I was looking forward to some Spring photos. However, I only had time to take a few photos. Now, many of the flowers are beginning to fall and turn. I hope they last until this weekend when I hope to have another free moment. I have throughly enjoyed experiencing the seasons in a different way through photography and I don't want to miss out on Spring! This photo is of our camellia bush outside the house. I did a clean edit with Lightroom to brighten the colors.

Settings: ISO 200, 50mm, ss1/500, f/1.8 (sunlight wb)
Intent: The hidden feel of this flower
"It is so small a thing to have enjoyed the sun, to have lived light in the spring, to have loved, to have thought, to have done." - Matthew Arnold

  15. Hi Emily...I received this error message when I tried linking my 2nd photo for this week: "This link already exists for this Thumbnail Linky Lists. Duplicate entries for the same list are not allowed. If your link is not showing, this might be a moderated list and the link has not been approved yet. If you have further questions, contact the blog owner." This happened because my blog URL didn't change from last week's post to this week and unfortunately I can't change the URL. Not sure if anyone else ran into this hiccup but I thought you should know. I did post a 2nd on my page though just incase.
