Following the walk one of the leaders was gracious enough to share her tips for shooting macro shots. She is AMAZING and I learned so much from her. Her name is Kara and you should take a look at her work. It was such a great experience to see her passion for this type of photography. Passionate people inspire me! We shot in the Volunteer Park Conservatory which had a TON of macro opportunities. Here are a few of my favorite shots. I have to say that I will without a doubt be out shooting more macros soon. Especially now that I bought a 100mm macro from a friend. I can't wait!

A Clickin Walk sounds like so much fun! LOVE all your shots - and I can't wait until we move back 'home' next year to the Seattle area. :)

So many really fabulous finds, and what fun!!
ReplyDeleteEmily, Your macro shots are SO lovely, rich in details and colors! As to sunrise locations, I have two east facing favorites... Kerry Park on south Queen Anne Hill and in SeaTac. In SeaTac on Military Road South (on the east shoulder) about a 1/4 block south of 188th Street (near SeaTac Cityhall). That's where I was yesterday with my daughter and have found it to be an excellent spot, both for Mount Rainier, the Cascades and the actual rising sun... Thank you for sharing on Weekly Top Shot #51!
