To continue the flower theme, this is a picture I took on Mother's Day after we took my mom to breakfast. There was a park across the street with many beautiful flowers, including the state flower of Washington the rhododendron. Tucked back in amongst the flowers was a bright magenta rhododendron that was stunningly lit with just the right amount of sun to be utterly dramatic. I used a new lens hood my brother bought me for my birthday and it added to the dramatic feel by emphasizing the spot light that the sun was creating. In post processing I used most of the basic settings in Lightroom to play up the color and the light. What do you think?
Settings: ISO 200, 55mm, ss1/250, f/5.6 (sunlight wb, lens hood)
Intent: The lighting on the flower
Rhododendron - "A genus of shrubs or small trees, often having handsome evergreen leaves, and remarkable for the beauty of their flowers."
